The Gingerbread Lodge
FREE FAMILY EVENT + HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE
DECEMBER 14th, 2024, 9:00am-1:00pm
Once again, our space will be decked to the nines, Christmas music will be playing, the fire will be lit and hot cocoa will be free flowing! Best part? This is an entirely free community event where you can take a peak at the gingerbread entries, meet May’s miniature ponies, enjoy free cocoa and cookies, and celebrate the holidays with activities for the kids. The cornerstone event will be a Gingerbread House contest (free to enter, adult and kid segments) with an incredible prize package. This year the contest will be determined by public vote so INVITE your friends!
We’re really excited to offer this free opportunity for you to gather with your community during such a special season, as well as hopefully help to grow your community as well.

If you’re able, pre-register and check out the rules below! It’s never too late to register. We want you here no matter what! The registration is just so we have an idea of how many spots to have ready to go. ** Please note, we DO NOT have gingerbread making supplies here at the lodge. You must pre-make your edible creation. **
Create something amazing!
Pre-make a gingerbread/edible creation (house, city, mountain, castle, etc) at home. We will not be making gingerbread creations at the event.
Drop off your creation.
In town (at The Smiley Cafe) drop offs are available at 5:00pm-7:00pm on Friday and 6:00am-8:00am on Saturday for gingerbread entries. You can also bring the entry to the lodge between 8:00am-9:00am.
Come for the fun and invite your friends
All entries will be open to public vote from 9:00am-12:00am. There will also be miniature ponies, kid activities (for all ages), professional photos by Ponderosa Portraits, free cocoa and cookies and Black Diamond Lodge tours.
Win a great prize!
The awards ceremony will be at 12:00pm. Entry participants must be present to win. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes available for the adult and kid categories. Win up to $150 in local gift cards from participating businesses.

GINGERBREAD CONTEST RULES
One house/entry per participant or group.
75% of all decorations must be edible.
We prefer that all entries are pre-registered via the form below that we can make sure we have space for everyone! If you don’t register, no worries! Still come. All are welcome!
All entries must be delivered to the lodge during one of the dedicated pick up times.
All entries must be placed on a flat base no bigger than 24”x24”x24” (ie cardboard, a cake board, a plate, etc).
Entries must be tasteful - nothing vulgar or inappropriate.
Group entries are allowed.
Our 2024 judging will be completely by public vote so invite your friends!
