Say “I Do” with a View - The Black Diamond Lodge Ceremony Sites
Everything about the Black Diamond Lodge Ceremony Sites!
The Park (120 seated)
The Park Ceremony site is conveniently located on the far side of our parking lot for super easy access for guests (especially in the winter time)! It has a backdrop of beautiful trees and always makes a fun spot for bridal party photos. In the winter, it is a perfect snowy meadow but still easy to access. In the spring, it is in full bloom with daises and other flowers. In the summer, it is vibrant with green grass and trees. Then when autumn comes around it is bright yellow and orange from the beautiful aspen trees changing colors.

The Meadow (80 seated or 120 standing)
At the Black Diamond Lodge, our biggest ceremony site offers an unparalleled experience, featuring a breathtaking view that overlooks the majestic San Juan Mountains. This picturesque setting is a feast for the eyes, regardless of the season. In the fall, the site is enveloped in the vibrant hues of aspen trees, creating a truly enchanting landscape. During the spring and early summer, the ground is adorned with a carpet of yellow wildflowers, while late summer brings a delightful array of daisies that blanket the area. Winter, too, casts a spell on the ceremony site with its serene and snow-kissed splendor, offering a tranquil and awe-inspiring atmosphere.
The ceremony site is conveniently located just a five-minute walk from the lodge. This walk is easy for most guests, though we recommend opting for stylish yet comfortable boots or chunkier heels for navigating the terrain. For those who prefer not to walk or may have difficulty with the journey, we provide shuttle services to ensure everyone can comfortably reach the site. We also ensure that the bride and her bridesmaids are transported, with shuttles bringing them to the rear of the ceremony site. This allows the bride to make a memorable entrance down a natural aisle lined with graceful aspen trees, creating a picturesque moment that is perfect for photography.
Other Spots
Due to snow, rain, or just personal preference we have done ceremonies at other spots on our property. Some of our favorites are the back and front patios. We can do whatever the couple prefers and it always turns out so beautifully! Our back patio (60 seated, 80 standing) features the stunning views of the San Juan Mountains while being just outside the doors to the Columbine room for easy access. The front patio (80 seating, 120 standing) is perfect for when the lodge is surrounded with snow and you want the classic white backdrop and snowed-in feel. We can also do a small ceremony in the lobby (24 seated, 60 standing) for a intimate, cozy ceremony in front of a roaring fireplace.

Following the ceremony, guests have the option to stroll back down to the lodge for cocktail hour, or they can take advantage of our shuttle service for a faster return. These ceremony sites are a treasure trove of stunning photo opportunities, and many couples choose to capture most of their wedding photos with their loved ones outside at these scenic spots. Overall, the Black Diamond Lodge's ceremony sites stand out as some of the most charming and enchanting locations to celebrate your special day, making it a truly unforgettable place to tie the knot.
